Using visual material sourced from the Russian State Film Archives, exhibition of The Car was held in the disused Nicholls and Clark Building in London. Shown across five centrally hung screens, the film explored the notion of longing and the means by which perception is influenced by one's desires. Hovering between prose and poetry, past and future, the work invited the viewer to move through the space and intricate layers of narrative and film.
The Car was generously supported by the City of London and Arts Council England, and co-produced with Measure.
